Lines & Hues

Commissioned by Saint Kentergen College for the 2026 Chamber Music New Zealand NZCT Chamber Music Contest.

For two percussionists, flute and piano.

Program Note

Lines & Hues takes its inspiration from the striking hues of blue and green and the variegated topography of Wilson Bay Farm, Coromandel Peninsula, Auckland New Zealand, where St Kentigern’s College are developing a third campus.

Composer Linda Dallimore utilizes the topographical lines of Wilsons Bay to develop musical linearities in the first movement, Topography. The second movement explores the varied hues of blue and green in the pacific ocean and coromandel peninsula.
