Teaching
Linda serves on the faculty of music theory department at the Colburn School in Los Angeles, where she teaches conservatory students graduate-level electives. Linda is also on faculty at the prestigious LA Phil's Composer Fellowship Program for young composers. She also lectures in Aural skills at the Thornton School of Music, University of Southern California and has taught composition at the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
Linda’s previous teaching experience includes composition, music theory, aural skills, flute and mentor roles at other institutions including elementary, middle and high schools, masterclasses, holiday programs and private studios.
Linda is available to give guest composer presentations on topics including the psychology of creative flow for composers, musical context and innovations of the past 75 years, analyses of selected contemporary repertoire, and presentations of her own music. Linda also gives in-person lessons in Los Angeles, and zoom lessons in composition, theory, aural skills and flute. Please enquire here and she will be in touch shortly.
