Teaching
Linda serves on the faculty of music theory department at the Colburn School in Los Angeles, where she teaches conservatory students graduate-level electives. Linda is also on faculty at the prestigious LA Phil's Composer Fellowship Program for young composers. She also lectures in Aural skills at USC and has taught composition at the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
Linda’s previous teaching experience includes composition, music theory, aural skills and flute at other institutions, elementary, middle and high schools, masterclasses and holiday programs and private studios.
Guest Positions
Linda is available as a guest faculty/composer, on topics including the psychology of creative flow for composers, musical context and innovations of the past 75 years, analyses of selected contemporary repertoire, and presentations of her own music.
Private Lessons
Linda gives in-person lessons in Los Angeles, and zoom lessons in Composition, Theory, Aural skills and Flute.
